Winchester Model 69 Standard Grade .22 S/L/LR Bolt-Action Rifle – Pre-69A, 25-Inch Barrel, Blued, Walnut Stock
Produced in the mid-1930s, this Winchester Model 69 Standard Grade represents the original, pre-69A configuration with the exposed cocking knob and no serial number, as was common before 1968. It chambers .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges, giving the shooter flexibility at the range or in the field. A 25-inch carbon-steel barrel, oil-finished walnut stock, and factory open sights with a bolt-mounted peep round out a classic rimfire package that appeals to shooters and collectors alike.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 69 Standard Grade bolt-action rifle
- One factory Winchester 5-round detachable box magazine
Winchester introduced the Model 69 in 1935 as a mid-priced rimfire intended to bridge the gap between entry-level plinkers and premium target models. This example was built between 1935 and 1937, a production window that accounts for only a small fraction of total Model 69 output.
The rifle retains its original open sight system: a dovetailed blade front, an elevation-adjustable leaf rear, and a bolt-mounted aperture that gives the shooter both traditional and peep sight options without aftermarket changes.
A 25-inch carbon-steel barrel delivers solid sight radius and velocity for small-bore shooting, while the 13.5-inch length of pull and semi pistol-grip walnut stock provide classic Winchester handling.
Feeding is through a detachable 5-round steel magazine, with an additional round loadable in the chamber for a 5+1 total. The action uses a traditional manual safety and retains the exposed cocking knob unique to early Model 69s.
