The heart of this build is the Curtis Custom Axiom short action, featuring a three-lug, 60° throw bolt for quicker follow-up shots and reduced scope clearance issues. The action’s integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides extended elevation for dialing in long-range dope.
A 26-inch, straight-taper 416 stainless match barrel is chambered in 6.5 PRC, offering higher velocity than 6.5 Creedmoor while maintaining excellent ballistic efficiency. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and fitted with an MPA DB3 three-port muzzle brake to minimize recoil and muzzle rise.
The MasterPiece Arms BA Competition chassis is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in grey Cerakote to match the action. It supplies tool-less adjustments for length of pull, cheek height, and recoil pad position, and includes the MPA EVG-style vertical grip for consistent hand placement.
An integrated RAT Arca rail along the fore-end allows instant bipod or tripod positioning changes—ideal for practical field matches and positional shooting. Detachable AICS-pattern magazines provide reliable 5-round capacity and quick reloads.
Built on a Remington 700 footprint, the rifle accepts a wide range of aftermarket triggers and accessories, giving the owner plenty of upgrade paths while starting from a highly refined, competition-ready foundation.
