The Grey Wolf sub-model combines Sako’s proven 85 action family with a weather-resistant matte stainless finish and a laminated stock that shrugs off temperature and humidity changes. The shadow-line cheek-piece and fine two-panel checkering give a secure, repeatable weld for consistent shot placement.
The 22.4-inch free-floating barrel is cold hammer forged for long life and inherent accuracy. Chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish, it offers mild recoil and excellent ballistic performance on game and at distance.
Integral 17 mm tapered dovetail rails are machined into the receiver, allowing direct attachment of Sako rings without additional bases. The detachable staggered-column magazine locks positively with the Total Control Latch and feeds smoothly under the three-lug controlled-feed bolt.
Safety is handled by a two-position lever that also locks the bolt handle, while a separate bolt-release button permits safe unloading. A visible cocking indicator provides instant status feedback. The single-stage trigger is user-adjustable between roughly 2 – 4 lb, letting the shooter fine-tune pull weight for field or bench use.
