Serbu RN-50 Standard .50 BMG Single-Shot Rifle – 29.5" Nitrided Heavy Barrel, Threaded 1.00-14 RH
Introduced in 2016, the Serbu RN-50 delivers .50 BMG power in a straightforward break-action design that remains affordable without compromising safety. Co-designed by Mark Serbu and YouTuber “Royal Nonesuch,” this rifle uses a screw-on breech cap for full 360° case support, a feature that sets it apart from other budget-minded .50s. The 29.5-inch nitrided heavy barrel, AR-15 compatible trigger group, and skeletonized steel stock give buyers a robust yet surprisingly trim platform ready for long-range work.

The RN-50’s break-open, single-shot action keeps the overall system simple and strong. A cross-bolt safety adds a familiar control point, while the threaded breech cap threads directly into the barrel extension, fully enclosing the cartridge base.
The 29.5" nitrided 4140 steel barrel features a 1.00-14 RH muzzle thread, ready for a brake or suppressor. Its 1:15 RH twist stabilizes standard .50 BMG ball and match loads, and the heavy profile manages heat during extended firing sessions.
AR-pattern compatibility broadens customization options: the rifle accepts standard AR-15 trigger components and wears an A2 pistol grip. A hard-anodized aluminum lower pairs with a manganese-phosphate steel upper for durability and corrosion resistance.
The fixed, skeletonized tubular steel stock keeps weight manageable and incorporates a rubber recoil pad to temper .50-caliber recoil. A ventilated aluminum handguard and full-length Picatinny top rail provide mounting space for optics and accessories—complemented here by the included bipod.
