The third-generation Kel-Tec SUB2000 takes the proven, backpack-friendly folding carbine and updates it with a cold-hammer-forged, 16.25-inch threaded barrel, a full-length Picatinny/M-LOK forend, and an enlarged ambidextrous charging handle. Chambered in 9 mm Luger and fed by common Glock 17/19 double-stack magazines, this 4.2-pound rifle collapses to just over 16 inches for easy transport while retaining zero on mounted optics.

The SUB2000’s signature hinged design lets the barrel and forend pivot 180 degrees to lock alongside the receiver, shrinking overall length to 16.15 inches. Unlike earlier versions, the Gen 3 keeps your optic on a rotating top rail, so sight zero remains intact when the rifle is unfolded.
Kel-Tec equips this model with a cold-hammer-forged steel barrel threaded 1/2-28 TPI—ready for a suppressor or muzzle device—and finishes it in a durable blued/black treatment. The straight blow-back action is simple and reliable, and the enlarged, ambidextrous charging handle is a Gen 3 enhancement for faster manipulation.
The glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame, stock, and forend keep weight to just 4.2 lb unloaded. A telescoping, three-position stock gives a 13-inch length of pull, while the polymer forend offers a full Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots for accessories. Factory sights are omitted to give you free choice of optics.
Feeding from readily available Glock 17/19 magazines makes ammunition management straightforward and affordable. Three 10-round magazines are included, and higher-capacity mags (where legal) fit without modification.
