Mauser 1937 S/42 Pistole 08 Luger – 9mm, WWII Army Contract, Salt-Blue Finish
Built at Mauser’s Oberndorf factory in 1937, this S/42-coded Pistole 08 represents the mid-war evolution of the iconic Luger. All visible parts carry matching serial number 1138, and the pistol retains its original salt-blue finish, brown phenolic grips, and eagle/63 Waffenamt proofs that confirm acceptance for German Army service. With production for 1937 limited to roughly 137,000 units, this example offers collectors a correct, period-authentic sidearm from the early years of WWII.
