Ruger’s 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel is medium-contour, threaded 5/8-24 for brakes or suppressors, and secured with an AR-style barrel nut, allowing straightforward caliber changes. The 1:10 RH twist stabilizes a broad range of .308 projectiles, making the rifle versatile for both match and hunting loads.
The free-float 12.37" Samson Evolution KeyMod handguard, offered only on early rifles, keeps weight down while providing ample accessory space. Its slim profile and aluminum construction help maintain rigidity without adding unnecessary bulk.
A 20-MOA Picatinny rail is machined into the upper receiver, giving long-range shooters the elevation they need for dialing dope at extended distances. The inline recoil path from bolt to buttstock enhances shot-to-shot consistency.
The folding Ruger Precision MSR stock adjusts for length of pull, comb height, and buttpad position, ensuring a personalized fit. Bottom Picatinny rail and QD sling sockets expand mounting options, while the glass-filled nylon and aluminum design keeps the assembly strong and light.
Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable trigger breaks cleanly and can be set from 2.25 to 5 pounds without removing the action from the chassis. An ambidextrous safety selector rounds out the controls, catering to both right- and left-handed shooters.
