What’s Included
- Savage Model 99F Featherweight rifle
Produced in Westfield, Massachusetts in 1967 (serial range 1136xxx), this Model 99F represents the later, hammerless evolution of Savage’s classic lever design. The Featherweight series trims weight through a slender barrel profile and lightened receiver while retaining the strong rotary magazine and reliable internal striker system.
The 22" tapered barrel wears factory iron sights: a serrated ramp front blade and an elevation-adjustable rear sight dovetailed into the barrel. The receiver is drilled, tapped, and currently fitted with a scope mount, offering easy optic installation without gunsmithing.
Its rotary magazine holds five rounds of .308 Winchester and features the trademark cartridge-counter window on the left side—a hallmark of the Model 99 line that lets the shooter confirm remaining rounds at a glance.
The walnut stock has crisp checkering on the pistol grip and forend for a solid grasp, plus a steel buttplate that maintains the rifle’s classic lines. A tang safety provides intuitive, ambidextrous operation.
