The heart of the LRPV is its solid-bottom stainless receiver with no right-side ejection port, a layout that keeps the action rigid while directing spent cases through the enlarged left loading port. Combined with the spiral-fluted bolt body, cycling remains smooth and consistent.
The 26" heavy profile stainless barrel is button-rifled and factory finished in matte stainless. Its 1:7 RH twist stabilizes longer, heavier .223 projectiles favored for distance work, while the heavy contour maintains harmonics during extended shot strings.
Savage’s AccuTrigger lets the shooter fine-tune pull weight from roughly 1.5 to 6 pounds without disassembly, retaining the built-in AccuRelease safety blade for a clean, precise break.
The HS Precision stock features a full-length aluminum V-block bedding system, a wide flat fore-end for bags or bipods, and a textured black fiberglass/Kevlar shell. Dual front sling studs provide flexible mounting for both the included bipod and a sling.
A three-position tang safety permits bolt operation with the trigger locked, and the installed Weaver-style rail section simplifies scope setup. At about 11 pounds unloaded, the rifle offers the weight and balance serious varmint and target shooters expect.
