Product Description

    Winchester Model 1906 Standard Pump-Action .22 LR Rifle — Late “B” Series, Mfg. 1923, 20" Barrel

Built in 1923, this Winchester Model 1906 Standard exemplifies the company’s classic pump-action .22 that served generations of shooters. The rifle is a late-production “B” series example with the desirable takedown design, original 20" round barrel, and 12-groove hardwood forearm. Chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, it remains a versatile, collectible rimfire with hallmark Winchester craftsmanship in blued steel and walnut.

    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1906 Standard pump-action rifle (serial 658722 “B”)

Winchester produced roughly 800,000 Model 1906 rifles between 1906 and 1932, and this late “B” suffix rifle dates to the 1927–1928 production range while the receiver stamp indicates a 1923 manufacture. The “B” subclass marks the final refinement of the Standard variant and is sought after by collectors tracking serial progression.

The rifle retains its original 20" blued steel barrel, tubular magazine, and takedown mechanism secured by a knurled bolt. This design allows quick separation of barrel assembly from the receiver for compact transport or cleaning—an early Winchester convenience feature that remains practical today.

Its hardwood furniture includes the straight-grip stock capped by the signature Winchester sunburst buttplate and a 12-groove forend that provides positive purchase during rapid cycling. Length of pull measures 12.75", consistent with factory dimensions for the Standard model.

Iron sights consist of a dovetailed blade front and an elevator-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, giving shooters a traditional sight picture customary to early-20th-century rimfires. The exposed hammer, smooth pump stroke, and 10-round capacity underline the rifle’s utilitarian roots while preserving its period charm.
