Accuracy International AE Mk II 7.62 NATO Bolt-Action Rifle with Folding Chassis, 24" Heavy Barrel
This discontinued 2009 Accuracy International AE Mk II pairs the company’s proven three-lug, 60° bolt action with a left-side folding chassis that trims roughly eight inches from overall length for transport. Built on AI’s round aluminium receiver, the rifle features a 24-inch free-floating heavy barrel, adjustable two-stage trigger, and spacer-adjustable butt-pad. British Birmingham proof marks and an AINA Mingus TX import stamp confirm its origin and authenticity.

The AE Mk II was the final evolution of AI’s entry-level precision line before the Mk III transition, making this example one of the last British-proofed AE rifles produced. Its aluminium/polymer chassis incorporates an adjustable comb, thumbhole grip, and 13.5-inch length of pull that can be tuned with spacers, allowing quick adaptation to body armor or different shooting positions.
The folding stock locks solidly when extended and folds flat against the receiver for compact storage, a valuable feature for law-enforcement or field carry. Integrated Picatinny rails on the forend and receiver accept optics and ancillary equipment without additional adapters.
Accuracy potential is enhanced by the free-floating heavy profile barrel and 1:12 RH twist, ideal for common 147- to 175-grain 7.62 NATO loads. The field-replaceable barrel system lets armorers swap tubes without specialized fixtures, keeping the rifle serviceable for the long term.
A two-position safety blocks the trigger while leaving the bolt operable, and the crisp, adjustable two-stage trigger aids precise shot release. The rifle feeds from industry-standard AICS magazines, two of which are supplied, giving the shooter both a flush 5-round and an extended 12-round option.
