The P320 M17 is the commercial version of the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System sidearm. This full-size 9 mm pistol features the same coyote-tan, optic-ready slide and ambidextrous manual safety found on the service gun, paired with a modular fire-control unit that lets owners swap frames and calibers. Three high-capacity magazines with Taran Tactical-style extenders give this example a 21-round payload, making it ready for range duty or defensive roles right out of the box.

The stainless-steel slide wears a durable coyote PVD coating and is cut for direct mounting of Leupold DeltaPoint Pro or SIG ROMEO-M17 optics. Factory SIGLITE tritium night sights top the slide; the rear plate doubles as an optic cover and can be removed without disturbing the front sight.
An ambidextrous thumb safety, reversible magazine release, and bilateral slide stop make the M17 fully left- or right-hand friendly. The striker-fired action delivers a consistent trigger pull, and the curved trigger shoe is familiar to shooters accustomed to service-grade sidearms.
The serialized fire-control unit carries the unique “M17-” prefix, underscoring its lineage to the military contract pistols. Housed in a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer grip module with an integrated accessory rail, the FCU can be moved into other P320 grip sizes or caliber kits, extending the platform’s versatility.
Nitride-treated carbon-steel barrels contribute to long service life. At 4.7 inches, the barrel length balances velocity with carry comfort, while the full-size frame maximizes control during rapid strings of fire.
