The GPI MOD BLRS billet upper and lower are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, then Type III hard-anodized and finished in green Cerakote. Engravings include the War Sport crest logo, “LVOA” on the magwell, and the Jacksonville, FL maker’s scroll, giving the rifle clear lineage and collector value.
The signature LVOA handguard is a 6061-T6 aluminum, triangular-vent design that extends almost to the muzzle. Inside sits War Sport’s proprietary “Top Hat” flash/compensator, delivering effective venting while maintaining a sleek profile.
Ambidextrous safety and magazine release, plus an enlarged bolt-release paddle, make the rifle user-friendly for right- or left-handed shooters. A continuous 12-o’clock MIL-STD-1913 rail features shock-cord “War Bungee” retainers for secure accessory placement.
Furniture is all Magpul: a UBR Gen 1 adjustable stock for solid cheek weld and storage, and a MOE+ over-molded pistol grip in matching foliage green. Troy folding battle sights provide reliable back-up aiming without adding bulk.
The 16.1-inch medium-contour barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde for safe, accurate use with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. A 1:8 RH twist balances light- and heavy-weight projectile stabilization, and the bore remains bright and sharp.
