Produced in 1975, this Navy flavor of Colt’s Blackpowder series retains the exact 7.5-inch octagonal barrel profile of the original Civil War-era sidearm, yet benefits from modern metallurgy and factory craftsmanship of the 1970s. Sam Welch’s signature “S. WELCH” is stamped discreetly beneath the barrel lug, certifying the work as authentic Colt master engraving. The revolver displays full-coverage scroll accented with a rampant Colt motif, all cut by hand and highlighted with gold inlay lines that frame key surfaces.
