Kimber Desert Warrior .45 ACP 1911, 5-Inch Match Barrel, Night Sights, Rail, Tan Finish
The Kimber Desert Warrior is a full-size 1911 built to the same specification as Kimber’s U.S. Marine Corps ICQB pistols. Forged carbon-steel slide and frame wear a KimPro II desert-tan finish for corrosion resistance, while a hand-fitted match-grade stainless barrel delivers the accuracy serious shooters expect. Factory night sights, an integral accessory rail, and ambidextrous controls round out a combat-ready package that remains in Kimber’s 2025 catalog.

The forged carbon-steel slide and frame receive Kimber’s KimPro II desert-tan finish, engineered to resist corrosion and abrasion in harsh environments. Forward and rear cocking serrations provide confident manipulation even with gloves.
A 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel and bushing are hand-fitted in Yonkers, NY. Combined with a 1:16 left-hand twist, the platform offers match-grade accuracy straight from the box.
The integral three-slot MIL-STD-1913 rail lets the owner mount white lights or laser systems without aftermarket parts. 24 LPI front-strap checkering and a checkered mainspring housing supply a secure, repeatable grip.
Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, skeletonized rounded hammer, and a match-grade trigger—all hallmarks of Kimber’s Warrior series. Fixed tritium night sights (blade front, Tactical Wedge rear) give a 6.8-inch sight radius for quick target acquisition in any light.
As a commercial descendant of the USMC ICQB pistol and still listed in Kimber’s current catalog, this Desert Warrior blends field-proven design with modern manufacturing, making it a strong choice for duty, defense, or collection.
