HK’s LEM (Law Enforcement Modification) system provides a light, constant double-action pull without a manual safety lever, yet remains fully restrike-capable. Ambidextrous paddle magazine releases and slide levers support easy operation with either hand.
The slide’s front and rear serrations and loaded-chamber witness hole streamline press checks, while a Picatinny rail ahead of the trigger guard accepts lights or lasers. A bobbed external hammer minimizes snag risk during draws.
