Savage Arms Model 62F .22 LR Semi-Automatic Rifle, 20.25" Barrel, Canadian-Made
This Canadian-produced Savage Arms Model 62F is a rugged, full-size .22 LR semi-automatic that traces its design back to the 1964 Cooey blowback action. Built on a carbon-steel receiver and barrel with a matte blued finish, it features a lightweight black polymer stock, open iron sights, and factory 3/8-inch dovetail grooves for easy optic mounting. A 20.25-inch barrel and right-side charging handle round out a rifle known for reliable plinking, small-game hunting, and informal target work.

What’s Included
- Savage Arms Model 62F rifle (no magazine)
The 62F’s carbon-steel barrel is cut to 20.25 inches, giving the .22 LR ample velocity while keeping the rifle easy to maneuver. Its matte blued finish resists glare and blends well with the all-black synthetic stock.
The receiver is machined with 3/8-inch dovetail grooves and is drilled and tapped, letting the owner mount rimfire rings or a base without gunsmithing. Open sights remain in place for those who prefer irons, with a dovetailed front blade and elevation-adjustable rear notch.
Inside, the simple blowback action is the same proven mechanism found throughout the Model 64 family, offering straightforward maintenance and consistent cycling with standard .22 LR loads. A cross-bolt safety sits just ahead of the trigger guard for quick, familiar operation.
Molded checkering on the pistol-grip wrist and forend provides a secure grasp, while integral sling studs make it easy to add a carry strap. At 13.5 inches, the length of pull fits most adult shooters comfortably.
