This 97 B is engineered for permanent 10-round compliance, making it one of the few .45 ACP double-stack pistols listed on the California Handgun Roster. The forged-steel frame and slide deliver lasting durability, while CZ’s black polycoat finish shrugs off wear and corrosion.
The 4.65" cold-hammer-forged barrel is supported by a screw-in bushing that tightens lock-up for repeatable accuracy. Full-length internal slide rails guide the slide the entire stroke, promoting a smooth cycling feel and consistent barrel alignment.
Operation is classic CZ: a short-recoil DA/SA system with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, safety stop on the hammer, and a firing-pin block. A loaded-chamber indicator pin provides both visual and tactile confirmation of a chambered round.
Sighting is fast and clear thanks to a bright fiber-optic front blade paired with a square-notch two-dot rear. Checkered hardwood grip panels round out the pistol with a secure, warm feel in the hand.
Proof-marked in the Czech Republic with a 2020 date code, this pistol comes from the final production run before the CZ 97 series was discontinued in 2022.
