This transitional model wears the original Lite Rail 10.0 quad rail, a feature collectors appreciate because it predates the brand’s switch to M-LOK. A cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined 16" CMV barrel, a 17-4 PH stainless multi-prong flash hider, and fully staked hardware round out a package built for durability and reliability.

The heart of this carbine is a 16" government-profile barrel made from chrome-moly-vanadium steel. It is cold-hammer-forged for strength, chrome-lined for corrosion resistance, and threaded 1/2×28 TPI to accept the factory 17-4 PH stainless flash hider.
Upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hard-coat anodizing in black. Integrated QD sling-swivel sockets in both the rail and lower receiver give the shooter flexible sling mounting options, and the castle nut is properly staked for long-term stability.
The 10-inch Daniel Defense Lite Rail 10.0 offers a lightweight quad-rail interface that accepts legacy Picatinny accessories. This rail, combined with the serial-number prefix “DDB,” places the rifle in an early commercial production window prized by some Daniel Defense enthusiasts.
A six-position collapsible polymer stock and A2-pattern pistol grip deliver familiar ergonomics, while factory flip-up iron sights—Daniel Defense’s own front sight and A1.5 rear—arrive installed and ready for use.
