The Remington Model 1911 R1 Stainless brings the classic 1911 design into modern stainless-steel construction. Built in Ilion, New York, this full-size pistol was Remington’s first stainless 1911 after its 2010 return to the platform. It combines a brushed stainless finish with traditional GI-style controls, updated fixed 3-dot sights, and a lowered, flared ejection port.

This R1 Stainless features a 5-inch stainless-steel barrel and matching brushed stainless slide and frame, offering excellent corrosion resistance and a cohesive look.
The slide carries rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation and is marked "1911 R1S," matching the frame’s "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, NY USA" roll mark. A lowered and flared ejection port enhances reliability with modern defensive ammunition.
Controls stay true to the 1911 layout with a single-side thumb safety and grip safety, while the skeletonized commander-style hammer and solid aluminum trigger provide a crisp single-action pull. Checkered walnut double-diamond grips deliver a secure, familiar feel.
Fixed 3-dot sights sit in dovetail cuts for durability and easy replacement if desired. The pistol ships with two 7-round magazines, giving shooters a ready-to-run package straight from the box.
