This full-size Citadel M1911-A1 FS Government delivers the classic Series 70 1911 experience with modern upgrades such as forward cocking serrations, an extended beavertail grip safety, and skeletonized controls. Built on forged 4140 ordnance-steel frame and slide, it offers durable construction in an economical package. Marked “Made in the Philippines” and imported by AP International (Pahrump, NV), it reflects early Armscor production on legacy Colt-pattern machinery.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent — Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling — Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: Minor handling wear and slight scuffing are visible on the slide, but the pistol remains in very good cosmetic shape and functions properly.

The forged 4140 ordnance-steel frame and slide provide strength comparable to premium 1911s while keeping cost reasonable. A matte-black, parkerized-style finish resists glare and corrosion, pairing cleanly with checkered hardwood double-diamond grips for a traditional look.
Forward and rear cocking serrations give positive purchase for slide manipulation. The low-profile dovetail front sight and Novak-pattern rear sight form a familiar 3-dot picture that is quick to acquire without snagging on holsters.
Internally, the pistol follows the Series 70 pattern without a firing-pin safety, preserving a crisp single-action pull. The skeletonized, 3-hole aluminum trigger and rounded combat hammer further reduce lock time and lend a modern touch.
Manual thumb safety, grip safety, and an inertial firing pin provide the standard 1911 suite of passive and active safeties. The extended beavertail grip safety promotes a high, comfortable hold while shielding the hand from hammer bite.
