Built on a hard-coat anodized aluminum frame with a U-prefix German serial number, this P226 E2 retains the robust construction collectors look for while adding modern ergonomics. The one-piece E2 grip shrinks circumference and brings the trigger closer to the shooter’s reach without sacrificing capacity.
The double-action/single-action system features Sig’s short-reset trigger, enabling faster follow-up shots. A reversible magazine release supports left- or right-handed use, and the decocking lever allows safe hammer lowering without manual safeties.
Slide and barrel wear a durable matte black Nitron finish. Diagonal rear serrations provide positive purchase when racking, and the 4.4-inch barrel balances recoil management with carry length.
Sight acquisition is enhanced by the aftermarket TruGlo TFO front sight that blends fiber-optic brightness in daylight with tritium glow after dark. The two-dot tritium rear sight completes a crisp three-dot night sight picture.
