Mauser HSc .380 ACP DA/SA Compact Pistol – West German, Gloss Blued, Walnut Grips
Produced in Oberndorf between 1968 and 1977, this Mauser HSc represents the post-war revival of Alex Seidel’s streamlined pocket pistol. Only about 39,250 examples were chambered in .380 ACP during this era, making any original West German HSc in this caliber a noteworthy find. The high-polish blued finish, checkered walnut grips, and distinctive inside-trigger-guard slide hold-open lever give this compact DA/SA blowback pistol the classic Mauser look and feel that appeals to collectors and shooters alike.

What’s Included
- 1 × 7-round factory Mauser HSc steel single-stack magazine
This pistol falls within the 01.1001–01.40250 serial block, confirming it as an original .380 ACP post-war production piece. Import markings consist of a starburst proof and the discrete Interarms Alexandria, Virginia stamp, typical of Mauser exports of the period.
The carbon-steel frame and slide wear a uniform gloss blued finish that retains its factory depth and luster, complemented by crisp diagonal serrations at the rear of the slide. Checkered walnut grip panels remain sharp, providing a secure hold without adding bulk.
Mechanically, the HSc employs a straight blowback system paired with a double-action/single-action trigger, a manual safety that also functions as a decocker, and a magazine disconnect for added security. An external spur hammer offers positive cocking, while the heel-type magazine catch is consistent with European service pistols of the era.
Fixed iron sights—a blade front and integral rear notch—are low profile yet practical, preserving the pistol’s sleek silhouette. A lanyard-ring cut at the rear of the magazine well reflects its roots as both a civilian and police sidearm.
