This factory Colt M4 Carbine comes from a short-run “Federal Patrol Rifle” program and is the only production LE6920 to ship with a Geissele MK4 13.5" free-float rail. Built for agency duty but released in limited numbers, it combines Colt’s proven LE6920 core with upgraded ambidextrous controls, a chrome-lined CMV barrel, and Magpul PRO steel sights—making it both a capable patrol carbine and a scarce collectible.

Colt produced the LE6920 FBF2 to meet an FBI Federal Patrol Rifle spec, and it remains the sole production Colt carbine to feature a factory-installed Geissele MK4 13.5" aluminum free-float rail. The rail’s continuous top Picatinny and M-LOK slots add strength and accessory flexibility without excess weight.
The 16.1" chrome-lined, magnetic-particle-inspected CMV barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and cut to a government profile with a 1:7" twist, optimized for the full spectrum of 5.56 NATO duty loads. A CAGE-coded “M P” stamp confirms Colt’s in-house inspection standards.
Forged 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers wear Colt’s matte black hard-coat anodizing. A reversible ambidextrous safety selector and ambidextrous charging handle improve ergonomics for left- or right-handed shooters.
The six-position collapsible stock, A2-style pistol grip, and full-length rail keep the rifle in familiar AR-15 territory while adding modern capability. Combined with its documented limited production, these features make the LE6920 FBF2 appealing to both serious users and collectors.
