This V3 variant employs a traditional double-action/single-action trigger with a spurred hammer, giving shooters a long, deliberate first pull followed by a light, crisp reset for subsequent shots. An ambidextrous slide release and paddle-style magazine release come standard, making the P30L immediately usable for right- or left-handed shooters.
The long-slide configuration stretches the sight radius to 6.42 inches, supporting faster target transitions and tighter group potential. HK’s cold-hammer-forged barrel and polygonal rifling help maintain velocity and ease of cleaning while promoting extended service life.
Ergonomics are a standout feature: the modular grip system ships with multiple backstraps and side panels, offering 27 total combinations to fine-tune fit. A pebble-textured wrap-around surface provides positive purchase without abrasion.
Durability and safety receive equal attention. The nitro-carburized “hostile-environment” slide resists corrosion, and the HK recoil-reduction system mitigates felt recoil and component wear. Built-in protections include an automatic firing-pin block, hammer block, and keyed lock-out device. DE and HK proof marks confirm its German origin, and the pistol arrives in its factory case as imported by HKI Columbus, GA.
