Erma Werke ET-22 .22 LR Semi-Auto Luger-Style Pistol, 4.25" Barrel, West German 1968 Proof
This ET-22 offers collectors a rare chance to own Erma Werke’s rimfire recreation of the iconic P.08 Luger. Proof-dated 1968 and falling within the documented run of fewer than 7,000 units, it pairs the classic Luger toggle silhouette with a simplified blowback action and a lightweight Zamak alloy frame. The result is a full-size, 10-shot .22 LR that captures Luger lines while remaining economical to shoot.

Produced in West Germany between 1967 and 1969, the ET-22 is recognized as a limited-production, collectible rimfire. Serial 67040 aligns with the correct ET-22 range and carries West German eagle/N, Munich antler, and Ulm shield proofs, along with the “68” date shield.
The pistol retains the distinctive Luger-style toggle, here adapted for a simple blowback system. Coarse-serrated cocking knobs on the toggle make charging straightforward, and a push-button magazine release plus manual thumb safety follow familiar control layouts.
Construction combines a die-cast Zamak alloy frame and receiver with a steel barrel liner, keeping weight to roughly 26 oz while preserving durability where it counts. Checkered walnut grips offer a traditional look and a secure hold.
Fixed blade front and drift-notch rear sights provide a clean sight picture. A lanyard loop and grip-frame cut for a shoulder stock underline the design’s fidelity to the original P.08 profile.
