Built on a forged 7075-T6 aluminum receiver set with Type III hard-coat anodizing, this DT Sport provides a solid foundation while keeping weight to about 6 lb. The matte black finish throughout matches most duty-grade accessories and stands up well to regular range use.
The 16-inch 4140/CMV steel barrel uses a lightweight profile, 1:9 RH twist, and carbine-length gas system for dependable cycling with common 55–62 gr bullets. A factory-installed A2 flash suppressor sits on 1/2-28 TPI threads, ready for muzzle-device upgrades where permitted.
A low-profile gas block positions the flip-up front sight and keeps the top rail clear for optics. The included TRUGLO riser segment makes it easy to achieve proper sight height with popular red-dot or holographic optics.
The rifle retains its state-compliant 10-round configuration while still featuring a 6-position collapsible polymer stock and an aftermarket rubber over-mold pistol grip for improved control and comfort.
