This Poly Technologies AK-47S Legend Under-Folder is one of the scarce, pre-May 1989 Chinese imports built on a forged and milled Factory 386 receiver. With its chrome-lined, threaded barrel, premium chu wood furniture, and distinctive under-folding steel stock, it represents the highest-grade civilian AK platform China offered to the U.S. market during its brief two-year import window.

Factory 386 construction distinguishes this rifle from later stamped models. The milled receiver features a Type 3 lightening cut and carries the oval “386” mark alongside KFS Atlanta import stamps, confirming its 1988–1989 DF-prefix origin.
The bolt, carrier, and 16.25-inch barrel are all chrome-lined, enhancing corrosion resistance and easing maintenance. The barrel is threaded and fitted with the original slant muzzle brake, preserving its authentic military configuration.
Premium Chinese chu wood handguards and a blonde checkered hardwood pistol grip provide classic aesthetics and solid feel, while the steel under-folding stock locks up tightly and delivers a 12.5-inch length of pull.
Standard open-ear front sight and an 800-meter tangent rear sight complete the rifle’s iron sight system, maintaining the traditional AK sight picture sought by collectors and shooters alike.
