Built on a milled Bulgarian receiver with the traditional lightning cut, the SAM7SF offers enhanced rigidity and longevity compared to stamped AK variants. Arsenal’s forging process starts with a hot-die blank that is machined into its final form, resulting in precise fit and smooth cycling.
The 16.3-inch barrel is cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and threaded 24x1.5 mm RH. A US-marked four-piece flash hider is installed, matching the rifle’s CAGE 4UBG6 proof marks and maintaining compatibility with standard AK muzzle devices.
A right-side folding steel stock locks solidly and allows firing with the stock folded, making the rifle easier to store and transport without compromising function. The polymer handguard features cooling ribs and integrates a heat shield for sustained firing comfort.
Controls are updated with an ambidextrous thumb safety and FIME Group’s FM-922EUS two-stage trigger that breaks at roughly 2.8 lb. This trigger provides a short, distinct reset and improves precision over standard AK fire-control groups.
An Arsenal SM-13 quick-detach optics mount with a numbered Picatinny rail is factory-fitted, giving the shooter a repeatable zero for optics while retaining the hooded front post and 800-meter rear tangent sights.
