Colt introduced the Signature Series in 1994 to give buyers a factory-authorized, historically accurate black powder revolver. Each piece was assembled under Colt supervision in the United States and bears authentic 19th-century barrel address markings without modern proof or import stamps.
The revolver’s backstrap features a factory-applied gold script “Sam Colt” signature, instantly identifying it as part of the limited Signature Series. This factory engraving sets it apart from earlier second-generation guns and later reproductions.
