This SBL is built around a 19.1-inch barrel that is both cold-hammer-forged for longevity and threaded 11/16-24 TPI for muzzle devices or a suppressor. The 1:20 RH twist rate stabilizes a wide range of .45-70 projectiles, from traditional 300-grain hunting loads to modern heavy hard-cast rounds.
The action, lever, and receiver are machined from 416 stainless steel and finished in a matte-polished sheen that resists corrosion while still looking refined. A spiral-fluted bolt reduces operating friction and adds a distinctive visual touch.
The grey/black laminated straight-grip stock and forend provide weatherproof durability, aggressive checkering, and a 13.5-inch length of pull. A factory rubber recoil pad helps tame the stout .45-70 cartridge.
Sights and optics mounting are turnkey. The aftermarket Skinner “Alaskan” ghost-ring rear aperture is factory-installed on a full-length Picatinny rail, giving you both rapid sight acquisition and immediate compatibility with scopes, red dots, or night-vision devices.
A six-round tubular magazine coupled with the oversized lever ensures quick follow-up shots, whether you’re hunting, defending camp, or ringing steel at the range. The Ruger “RM” serial prefix signifies the latest production run with tightened tolerances and modern quality control.
