Introduced in 2021, the Emissary series modernizes the 1911 with forged-steel slide, frame, and barrel for maximum strength. The commander-length 4.25-inch, bushing-less bull barrel is match-grade stainless with a recessed crown and fully supported ramp for consistent accuracy.
The Tri-Top slide features lightening grooves plus 40 lpi top-strap serrations to cut glare. Front and rear cocking serrations offer positive traction, while the blued slide contrasts the matte-silver stainless frame for a striking two-tone finish.
A U-Dot sight system combines a tritium front vial with a yellow luminescent ring and a black Tactical Rack U-Notch rear, delivering fast sight acquisition in varied lighting. The solid flat-faced trigger, skeletonized commander-style hammer, and single-side extended thumb safety preserve traditional 1911 control with modern refinements.
Grenade-pattern machining on the front strap, mainspring housing, and thin-line VZ G10 grip panels ensures a secure hold without excess bulk. The squared trigger guard and forged components underscore Springfield Armory’s attention to detail, while the “NM” serial prefix confirms National Match U.S. production.
