Eddystone Model 1917 .30-06 Sporterized Bolt Action Rifle with Custom Flamed Maple Stock
This late-production Eddystone Model 1917 has been thoughtfully sporterized into a sleek hunting rifle. A hand-carved flamed maple Monte Carlo stock, polished commercial blue metalwork, and a shortened 24-inch sporter-contoured barrel set it apart from standard surplus examples. Retaining the robust U.S. Model 1917 action and original rear sight ears while adding modern sighting and recoil-management features, it offers a blend of World War I heritage and custom craftsmanship.

What’s Included
- Tooled leather rifle sling with floral motif
The rifle is built on the strong Model 1917 action, prized by gunsmiths for its cock-on-closing design and generous receiver ring. It still accepts five-round stripper clips for quick loading into the internal magazine.
A custom flamed maple stock provides a striking blonde appearance. The Monte Carlo comb, rollover cheek-piece, and pistol-grip profile improve cheek weld and control. Hand-carved scrollwork and sling swivels add both style and field utility.
The 24-inch sporter-contoured barrel reduces weight while preserving the accuracy potential of the original .30-06 chambering. A ramped blade front sight pairs with the original receiver-mounted aperture ladder rear sight for a clear, rugged iron sight picture.
Comfort is enhanced by a Pachmayr White-Line ventilated recoil pad with spacer, delivering a 13.75-inch length of pull and taming .30-06 recoil during extended range sessions or long hunts.
