What's Included
- Astra Model 44 revolver as configured
The Model 44 is a DA/SA, six-shot revolver built on Astra's large frame with carbon steel construction and a polished blued finish. It features an exposed hammer and a smooth trigger, with a round-butt grip frame fitted with checkered hardwood grips and brass Astra medallions.
This example is an Interarms import marked "INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA" and carries the Astra sun-burst logo along with "SPAIN" proof/import markings. It dates to the 1980s era of Astra production and was manufactured in Spain.
The barrel has been shortened aftermarket to approximately 3 inches with the full underlug retained. The muzzle is rough-cut and not crowned, and the underlug front is also rough-cut. The factory top-strap rib with fine serrations remains intact, and the adjustable micro-click rear sight is present. The factory front sight was removed as part of the cut, and the top strap has not been cut or drilled to accept a new front sight blade.
This revolver was not commissioned by Lew Horton Distribution as a Terminator. The work was done to mimic the Terminator style, but it lacks the typical Terminator roll mark. It is chambered in .44 Remington Magnum and also accepts .44 Special, with a six-round capacity.
