The P99 DAO uses a striker-fired, double-action-only system that delivers a consistent pull on every shot. Its recessed decocking button sits flush on the slide top, a distinctive feature of early P99s.
A Tenifer corrosion-resistant treatment hardens the carbon-steel slide and barrel while providing the matte black finish. This treatment is valued for its durability and resistance to the elements.
The glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame keeps weight manageable and accepts interchangeable backstraps for a tailored grip. An ambidextrous paddle magazine release and proprietary accessory rail were forward-thinking touches when the design debuted.
This example ships with six 10-round magazines, aligning with the 1994-2004 import period, and retains matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel, frame, and case label—adding confidence in originality.
Factory three-dot sights include a drift-pinned, interchangeable front post and a windage-adjustable rear, allowing precise zeroing without aftermarket parts.
