What’s Included
- Remington Model 552 Speedmaster Standard Grade .22 LR rifle
- Factory iron sights (ramp front bead and step-elevator rear)
- Integral sling swivel stud
Introduced in 1957, the Model 552 was designed for shooters who wanted a versatile rimfire that could cycle three cartridge lengths without adjustment. Its blowback action and tubular magazine hold up to 15 rounds of .22 LR, or even more when loaded with the shorter .22 Short.
This rifle carries the plain-grained walnut stock unique to the Standard Grade, giving it a straightforward, workhorse look. The 13.5" length of pull fits most adult shooters while keeping the rifle balanced for off-hand shots.
The 23" round barrel and polished blue steel receiver are classic Remington features. A receiver groove machined at the factory accepts standard 3/8" tip-off rings, allowing quick scope installation without drilling or tapping.
Iron sights come standard: a blued ramp front with silver-colored bead for quick acquisition and a folding leaf rear with step elevator for precise elevation changes. A sling swivel stud on the buttstock offers easy sling attachment for field use.
