This German-made M&P22 pairs rimfire economy with the familiar ergonomics of Smith & Wesson’s center-fire M&P line. Built by Carl Walther in Ulm, it features a factory-threaded carbon-steel barrel, fully ambidextrous controls, and adjustable 3-dot sights—making it a versatile trainer or suppressor host that mirrors duty-size handling.

This full-size M&P22 uses a straight-blowback, single-action system with an internal hammer, giving it a crisp break while maintaining the external profile of a striker-fired M&P. Controls are truly ambidextrous—safety levers, slide stop, and magazine release can all be run from either side without modification.
The 4.1" carbon-steel barrel is threaded M8×0.75 mm at the muzzle and protected by a knurled cap. An adaptor (not included) converts the factory metric threads to 1/2"-28 for use with most U.S. rimfire suppressors.
Black Armornite finish on the slide resists corrosion and wear, while the polymer frame keeps overall weight low and matches the grip angle of center-fire M&P models. Rear cocking serrations provide positive purchase for press checks and manipulations.
Adjustable 3-dot sights allow precise zeroing with a variety of ammunition. An integral accessory rail accepts weapon lights or lasers, expanding the pistol’s training and recreational roles.
Proofed in 2012 under CIP code “BC,” SKU 222000 is now discontinued, increasing appeal for collectors who want the original full-size rimfire companion to their duty gun.
