Q machines the entire receiver from a single block of 7075-T6 aluminum, eliminating the traditional two-piece action and delivering a rigid base with an integral Picatinny rail. Two Torx screws retain the barrel, making caliber changes straightforward while maintaining return-to-zero consistency.
The 16-inch stainless barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and ships with Q’s Cherry Bomb taper-mount muzzle brake, ready for direct suppressor attachment. A recessed crown protects the bore, and the fast 1:7 right-hand twist stabilizes long, high-BC projectiles favored by 6.5 Creedmoor shooters.
A 45-degree short-throw bolt and paddle-style mag release speed up cycling and reloads. The two-stage match trigger breaks cleanly, while an ambidextrous safety selector mirrors the controls of common AR platforms.
The folding, fully adjustable aluminum stock drops overall length by roughly nine inches for transport. Length of pull and cheek height dial in without tools, and the AR-style polymer pistol grip offers familiar ergonomics. The 15-inch free-float Q-SERT handguard accepts M-LOK accessories and includes a detachable 5-slot rail section for bipod or accessory mounting.
