Sig Sauer P238 Black Gold .380 ACP Limited-Edition Micro Pistol
The Sig Sauer P238 Black Gold is a limited-run, micro-sized .380 ACP that pairs 1911-style single-action operation with a distinctive two-tone finish. A polished gold PVD slide and controls contrast against a Nitron-coated aluminum frame, while factory SIG X-RAY day/night sights and G10 grips round out its collector-grade appeal. Produced for a short period starting in July 2019 under SKU 238-380-BAU, this Black Gold edition offers the compact handling of the P238 with premium aesthetics that set it apart from standard models.

The Black Gold edition’s polished gold PVD slide is factory-applied and features laser-engraved SIG markings, creating a striking contrast against the Nitron black frame. This finish was offered only for a limited production window, adding scarcity value for collectors.
At its core, the P238 remains a micro 1911-style pistol with single-action-only operation and an exposed commander-style hammer. The crisp trigger break and ambidextrous manual thumb safety give shooters familiar, 1911-inspired controls in a pocket-friendly package.
Practical features include SIG X-RAY day/night sights: a green fiber-optic tritium front sight paired with two-dot tritium rears for around-the-clock visibility. Black G10 grips with gold SIG medallions provide a secure purchase and complement the two-tone aesthetic.
A single-stack steel magazine system keeps the profile slim while offering 6- or 7-round capacity. All Black Gold pistols were built in Sig Sauer’s Newington, New Hampshire facility, ensuring U.S. manufacturing provenance.
