The heart of this rifle is a Pre-’64 style controlled-round-feed bolt with a jeweled body and full-length claw extractor, ensuring positive feeding and extraction under any shooting angle.
A steel receiver and one-piece bottom metal are finished in high-polish bluing to match the free-floated steel barrel, which ends in a recessed target crown for consistent accuracy.
The Grade V/VI American black walnut stock features shadow-line cheekpiece, ebony fore-end tip, cut checkering, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, providing both classic aesthetics and practical recoil reduction.
The user-adjustable M.O.A. three-lever trigger breaks at a crisp 3.75 pounds, complemented by Winchester’s three-position wing safety for secure handling at the range or in the field.
A factory-installed Talley ring/base set and drilled-and-tapped receiver make adding optics straightforward, while the internal hinged floorplate magazine holds four rounds of .30-06.
