It features a cold hammer forged 4150 CMV barrel with both tri-lug and 1/2-28 threading, a free-float Midwest Industries M-LOK handguard, and a side-folding SB Tactical brace. The package is range-ready with five 30-round steel magazines, a 50-round drum, a Blue Force Gear bungee sling, and a clamp-on optics rail included.

The ZF-5 uses a roller-delayed blowback, closed-bolt action and a non-reciprocating forward charging handle with a 90° locking recess. Controls include a selector safety and a polymer SEF-style pistol grip. The receiver is stamped and welded sheet steel with a matte black finish.
Its 8.9 in barrel is cold hammer forged from 4150 CMV steel and equipped with both a tri-lug mount and 1/2-28 RH threads, giving broad muzzle device and suppressor compatibility. The barrel has 6-groove, right-hand 1:10 rifling.
Diopter iron sights include a hooded front post and a 4-position rotary rear, delivering a 13.4 in sight radius. A Midwest Industries clamp-on Picatinny top rail is included for optics when desired.
The pistol is configured with a Midwest Industries free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and an SB Tactical side-folding arm brace mounted via a JMAC Customs Picatinny adapter.
