What’s Included
- Mossberg 500 Security 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun
- Monstrum receiver-saddle Picatinny optics rail (installed)
- Red fiber-optic front sight (installed)
The 18.5-inch steel barrel wears a fixed Cylinder choke, ideal for defensive patterns at close range. Dual action bars and a steel-to-steel bolt lock-up maintain smooth cycling and long-term durability.
The receiver is machined from aluminum alloy, anodized black, and drilled and tapped from the factory. The installed Monstrum saddle rail extends that mounting surface without altering the gun’s lines, allowing rapid addition of red dots or other optics.
Synthetic furniture keeps weight manageable while resisting weather and hard use. The stock provides a 14.0-inch length of pull and ends in a ventilated rubber recoil pad. An integral rear sling-swivel stud is molded in for easy carry setups.
A red fiber-optic bead up front improves sight visibility in varied lighting. Combined with the top-tang ambidextrous safety, the shotgun is intuitive for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Part of a lineage that has surpassed 11 million units, this U-prefix 500 series shotgun represents post-1990s production and retains Mossberg’s hallmark dependability in a security-length platform.
