Colt built the LE6920 on forged 7075-T6 receivers manufactured to the U.S. military Technical Data Package and proof-tested/MPI inspected for integrity. The LE-prefix serial confirms production before Colt’s CR roll-mark change, a point many Colt collectors note.
The 16-inch 4150 ordnance steel barrel is chrome-lined, sports a 1:7 RH twist for stabilizing heavier 5.56 NATO projectiles, and is capped with a standard A2 flash suppressor on 1/2-28 threads.
An aftermarket free-float aluminum handguard replaces the factory unit, reducing barrel contact and adding a full-length Picatinny top rail with cooling slots along the sides and bottom. This gives ample space for accessories and helps the rifle maintain accuracy during sustained fire.
The Magpul CTR-style six-position stock, paired with an 11.2-inch length of pull, provides solid shoulder lock-up and quick adjustability. A textured FDE/black pistol grip improves control, especially in wet or gloved conditions.
The included EP-8 1-8× LPVO expands target engagement from close-quarters to extended distances, while the detachable Streamlight Scout weapon light offers reliable illumination when mounted.
