The 22" carbon-steel barrel uses a recessed crown and tapered profile to maintain accuracy while minimizing weight. A 1:10" right-hand twist stabilizes a wide range of .30-06 bullet weights.
Its three-lug bolt locks up solidly and cycles with a short 60-degree throw, reducing lift height for faster operation and improved scope clearance. The barrel-nut assembly system simplifies maintenance and helps maintain consistent headspace.
The black synthetic stock resists moisture and temperature swings. A rubber recoil pad softens felt recoil, and molded sling-swivel studs allow easy attachment of a sling or bipod.
A factory Weaver-style scope rail is installed on the receiver, so adding optics is straightforward. The rifle was manufactured in Mayfield, Kentucky between 2007 and 2016, reflecting Remington's modern production standards.
