This M&P15-22 Sport is built on a polymer receiver set that keeps weight down while preserving familiar AR-15 controls, including the standard magazine release and two-position thumb safety. Steel inserts reinforce the key stress points for long-term durability.
The 16.5 in carbon-steel barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and capped with an A2 flash suppressor, giving owners immediate compatibility with rimfire suppressors or other muzzle devices. The rifle operates on a simple blowback action, offering reliable cycling with a wide range of .22 LR loads.
A slim free-float polymer handguard with M-LOK slots at the three, six, and nine o’clock positions lets shooters add lights, bipods, or other accessories without extra weight. The full-length Picatinny rail mates seamlessly with the folding Magpul MBUS sights and provides ample real estate for optics.
The six-position collapsible stock delivers a 13.5 in length of pull, allowing quick adjustment for different shooters or shooting positions. An A2-style grip offers a familiar angle and texture for AR enthusiasts.
