What’s Included
- J.C. Higgins Model 20 pump-action shotgun
Manufactured between 1948 and 1962, the Model 20 was Sears’ answer to the Winchester 12 and Remington 870, delivering solid performance at an accessible price. This example retains the design’s hallmark dual action bars, which contribute to its notably smooth stroke.
The 28-inch barrel is chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and carries a fixed Full choke, offering tight patterns suited to waterfowl, turkey, and longer-range upland work. A brass bead front sight provides a simple, durable aiming point.
Walnut furniture features cut checkering on the pistol-grip stock and forend for a secure hold. Length of pull measures 14.25 inches, and a red ventilated recoil pad softens felt recoil during extended sessions.
The blued steel receiver and barrel highlight 1950s American craftsmanship. Despite visible finish wear, the shotgun remains mechanically sound and ready for the field or a place in a period collection.
