Zastava M70AB2 7.62x39 Semi-Automatic Rifle – Heavy 1.5 mm Receiver, Under-Folding Stock, Threaded Grenade Spigot Barrel
This Zastava M70AB2 is a Yugoslav variant of the AKM platform, rebuilt by Century Arms from a demilitarized military parts kit onto a new U.S. 1.5 mm stamped receiver. It retains the M70’s distinctive grenade-launch spigot, integral gas-block cut-off, and robust RPK-style reinforcing bulges, making it an attractive option for collectors seeking authentic Yugoslav features in a semi-automatic configuration.

What’s Included
- Zastava M70AB2 semi-automatic rifle
- 2 ribbed steel 30-round double-stack magazines
The heart of this rifle is a heavy-gauge 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver with RPK-style bulges, offering added rigidity compared with standard AKM receivers. Century Arms handled the semi-auto build, preserving original Yugoslav parts where possible and marking the left side with “CENTURY ARMS INC GEORGIA VT.”
Yugoslav-specific features remain intact. The threaded 14x1 LH muzzle hosts the original grenade-launch spigot, while the gas-block cut-off lever is still functional—both uncommon touches on most civilian AK pattern rifles.
A steel twin-strut under-folding stock locks solidly for firing and folds beneath the receiver for compact storage. Length of pull measures 13 inches when extended, giving the rifle a familiar feel while still tucking away when space is tight.
The rifle wears an aftermarket polymer finger-groove pistol grip and a synthetic lower handguard for improved handling. Traditional iron sights include a hooded front post with protective ears and an adjustable tangent rear, spanning a 14.5 inch sight radius for consistent alignment.
The 16.3 inch threaded barrel supports muzzle devices or accessories, and the original Yugoslav profile enhances heat resistance during sustained fire. Chambered in 7.62x39, it feeds from standard double-stack AK magazines; two ribbed steel 30-round magazines are provided.
