The FoldAR FLDR15 brings true packable performance to the AR platform with a patented SHUT hinge that folds the barrel and handguard a full 180 degrees under the lower receiver, shrinking overall length to just 10.75 inches. Add a 9-inch QPQ-nitrided 4150 CMV barrel, a short-stroke gas-piston system, and a rugged 7075-T6 anodized receiver set, and you get an American-made pistol that travels small yet runs hard.

The patented SHUT hinge folds the barrel, handguard, and piston system completely under the lower, allowing the FLDR15 to stow in spaces most AR pistols cannot. A four-bolt trunnion locks the assembly solidly on deployment, preserving return-to-zero for mounted optics.
Reliability comes from a short-stroke gas-piston operating system paired with an adjustable 0.750" gas block. The design runs cleaner than direct-impingement setups and lets you tune the action for suppressed or unsuppressed fire.
The 9" 4150 CMV steel barrel features QPQ nitriding inside and out for corrosion resistance, a 1:7 twist optimized for heavier .223/5.56 projectiles, and 1/2-28 threads ready for brakes or suppressors.
Controls are shooter-focused: an ALG Defense QMS single-stage trigger, ambidextrous manual safety selector, Magpul MOE grip, and a minimalist polymer brace that telescopes for length of pull. A 9" free-float aluminum handguard with KeyMod/M-Lok slots and full-length Picatinny rail makes mounting accessories straightforward.
