SIG Sauer P938 SAS Ambi 9mm Luger Two-Tone Micro 1911-Style Pistol, 3" Barrel, Discontinued Custom Shop Anti-Snag Model
The P938 SAS Ambi is a discontinued Custom Shop variant of SIG Sauer’s micro-compact 9 mm line, featuring the proprietary Anti-Snag melt treatment and ambidextrous controls. Built in 2016 at SIG’s Exeter, NH facility, this two-tone pistol combines a stainless slide with a black anodized alloy frame, delivering a lightweight 16-ounce platform that blends concealed-carry dimensions with classic 1911-inspired single-action operation. Its limited production run and factory night sights make it a notable piece for shooters and collectors alike.

What’s Included

- P238/P938 owner’s manual
- Two 7-round SIG Sauer stainless-steel magazines with finger-rest baseplates
The SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) treatment rounds every external edge, allowing the pistol to clear holsters and clothing without catching. Combined with a 3-inch barrel and 16-ounce all-metal construction, the result is a micro-compact that remains comfortable to carry yet maintains full-power 9 mm performance.
True to its 1911 lineage, the P938 uses a single-action trigger, an external rowel-style hammer, and an ambidextrous thumb safety. These familiar controls provide a crisp break and positive manual safety engagement for both right- and left-handed users.
The natural stainless slide wears vertical rear serrations for confident manipulation. Paired with the black anodized aluminum frame and checkered walnut grips bearing the SIG SAUER medallion, the two-tone finish offers both visual appeal and corrosion resistance.
Factory-installed SIGLITE tritium night sights deliver a bright three-dot picture in low light, while the single-stack magazine design keeps the grip slim without sacrificing capacity. The pistol ships with two 7-round magazines, bringing total capacity to 7+1 rounds.
Because this SAS Ambi configuration is no longer in production—and retains its original Custom Shop features—it attracts interest from collectors seeking complete P938 lineups and shooters who prefer a factory-smoothed carry pistol.
