Introduced in 2007 as Ruger’s first striker-fired polymer-framed duty pistol, the SR9 line established the company’s modern service-gun design language. This 2010 example, indicated by its 331- prefix serial, comes from the middle of the production run and retains all original factory features.
The brushed stainless slide offers excellent corrosion resistance and contrasts cleanly with the matte-black polymer frame, creating a durable two-tone finish. Deep rear serrations provide a solid grasp for press checks or slide manipulation, even with gloves.
An oversized, top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator gives both visual and tactile confirmation of cartridge status. Ambidextrous thumb safeties, an oversize ambidextrous magazine release, a trigger safety, and a magazine disconnect further enhance safe handling.
Shooters can tailor the grip profile using the reversible backstrap, quickly swapping between flat and arched contours without tools. A full-length accessory rail ahead of the trigger guard accommodates lights or lasers for duty or home-defense setups.
